Today Is...

I remember in school we had to write a little thing...I guess it was practicing handwriting and calendar and sentence structure; spelling.....Today is November 14, 2007. It is a rainy day. We are learning to add. Little things like that. For some reason that came into my mind when I saw the entry title "Entry for November 14, 2007".
I've been worrying a bit about the girls lately. It seems like tv and tv and tv without stop. I've been biting my tongue and not saying anything...I *know* in my head it won't last, but still..... Well....
Today at the library...we got there too early. I don't know why they didn't tell Daddy the program today was the Thanksgiving party and it was 11 instead of 10, when he was in there yesterday. Anyway, we were there an hour early (and there was a bomb threat out the street at the courthouse) and Anna helped the children's librarian set up for the party, and Emma read the the littles while waiting for the party to start. I'm so proud. lol
This evening it was looking like tv again, then all of a sudden, Emma jumped up, and said "I'm tired of watching tv, lets play a game." I got out one we hadn't played yet, Pente, and we played several times, then we played a couple times with all three of us...I have two games and we used pieces from both. Playing three ways instead of two was definitely more of a challenge. Then the girls wanted something to eat, so they went to the kitchen and made deviled eggs for everyone. The eggs were so good, and they didn't ask for any help. I kind of felt obsolete, so I fixed a cup of tea and sat down with a magazine.
