^^^^^THAT's something he's not going to be going again for a while!
He had his surgery today, and thank God it wasn't as bad as it could have been! They didn't have to cut him open, just placed two pins.
I'm so relieved! I got to go to the out-patient center with him. I wasn't going to get to go, but mom let me borrow her other car, so I got to go. We got over there at 12:30, and left about 5:30.
While we were over there anyway, I took the girls down to Barnes and Noble to get their free books for their summer reading program. Emma picked Muggie Maggie by Beverly Cleary, and Anna picked A Dog Named Kitty by I don't know who. They looked like cute books. ; )
We ate a little bite, then went back to wait...and wait...and wait... The surgery actually didn't take long at all, but the preparation was almost endless. But, he's through, and feeling much better. He has to stay down for a couple days, then he can start figuring out his crutches. He's just dying to get them set on 5'11" at least, but I don't think he's tall enough. (He'd LOVE to be able to set them on 6') : )
I stopped and bought chicken and rolls to take up there, and took him a bag of chips and a bag of sunflower seeds. I should have gotten him some animal crackers (frosted) but I forgot them. I'll have to run back out tomorrow and get him some. We took him some DVD's and videos tonight, too.
He's been getting phone calls and visitors all evening. I think mom should pick a time and lock the doors and turn off the phone and nap and let Justus nap. I may mention it tomorrow (while we're up there visiting lol)
