My Poor Little Brother

Poor little fellow. He's so pitiful.
He was jumping on the trampoline yesterday and broke his leg. He says he didn't come down wierd or anything, it just popped when he came down. He tore the ligament in front...pataller ligament, or something like that....and his kneecap (patella) came down, and that's all you could see from the outside, just a little knee-capped shape below his knee, and I went all crazy and started squealing. I'm not much use in an emergency. I ran for mom. (Well, drove.)
He was at our SIL's, and one of her neighbors is an EMT, so he came over, and another neighbor ran up to mom's when she didn't come back quickly (she had to change clothes and stopped to grab a bite, since she hadn't had any supper.). When I finally got back to SIL's (I was left at mom's with three babies...we did the dishes, and kiera looked up at me and said, "THANK YOU for giving us this job to do! and Kady echoed, "Yes, THANK YOU!!" they're so cute.) but anyway, when I got back there were about 30 people crowded around the trampoline, (he certainly relished that thought when he had had some pain medicine and wasn't hurting as bad.) and the ambulance was there, and they were trying to get him off the trampoline with causing too much pain. Poor little fellow.
Mom rode to the hospital in the ambulance with him, and Daddy rode over with my Dad, so that left me with the girls, and I gave them to Daddy's mother and went too. (I don't like taking them to the ER...too many germs.) When I got over there he was gone for x-rays...about 9:15...it was 1:30 before we ever got home. It was looking like he was going to be admitted there for a while and my Dad went home, because me and Mom were going to stay with him, then when they said they were going to release him, we had to figure out how to get him in our van. We managed, though, and stopped to borrow a wheelchair from Daddy's dad, and get our girls, then we took him on home to wait until the swelling goes down some and he can have surgery on it.
Poor little fellow.
