Of course I didn't take a picture. I actually thought about it, but didn't want to come inside and get the camera.
Anyway, about our day. We had a deer given to us this morning (two actually, but one was already cut up and frozen), and we spent most of the day putting it up and picking the last of the tomatoes.
We had delicious deer steaks for lunch, and the most delectable roast for supper. Plus, I've got some stew pieces in the 'fridge for tomorrow. I'm also drying cherry tomatoes. I tried it once before, just to see if it would work, and it worked so nicely I'm at it again. : ) A big bowl full of cherry tomatoes doesn't make very much when they're dried, though. I'm thinking I might put some of those in the stew tomorrow, too. UUUMMM!
Anna helped Daddy scrape the deer hide and get it ready for tanning. Then she worked and worked with brush and sticks to make a house. It looked an awful lot like Eeyore's house, but just as I stepped out the back door to see it, it leaned to one side and dropped into pieces. It was SO funny-looking, but the poor little thing just cried...until she had some supper, that is.
We're going out now to burn brush and roast marshmallows. It's a good evening for it...chilly, but not too cold, and lots of brush. ; )
