How's This for An Unschooling Life?!!?

We don't even have to go to the zoo to see animals! When we we got home from Mom's this evening daddy went into the kitchen and I was right behind him, and he said, "Stop, don't look over here..." Of course I had to look, and there was a baby possum crawling over the sink and the clean dishes in the dish drainer! After I got over my shock, I thought it was quite cute, but still! It crawled down in behind a cabinet before we could catch it, and so we'll just have to wait until tomorrow before we can tear out all the sink and everything and find where he came in.
I'm SO tired tonight...I stayed with my little brother while mom went to work, and he really kept me hopping. He didn't want to get out of the wheelchair and lay down, and he wouldn't listen to me and stay inside, and he's feeling bad tonight. Too much sun and too much going. He'll have a quieter day tomorrow...his grandmother is staying with him, and she'll not be able to get him up as much as I did, plus she won't be doing interesting things he wants to be in on.
Mom got a ditch dug in her yard today, which was interesting (the girls found sandstone in it) and Emma found a wonderful large black widow spider. It was already mostly dead, lying on the porch, and when she showed me I ran for a jar & lid. Isn't that just a homeschoolery thing to do? lol
