Daddy and I have been thinking...dangerous, I know, but we felt compelled.
We've pretty much made up our minds; we're leaving the congergation we've been with...well, me for 24 years, Daddy for the 13 we've been married. It's a monumental undertaking. I'm SO programmed!
I've been doing a lot of reading online, and God seems to me speaking to me through lots of it.
On one hand, I love the people I go to church with. It would be hard to be around people so much for so long Without liking them...mostly, but still....there's so much I don't like. Not the people, really, but...other things....
One of the main things; something we've had a problem with for a while now, is that we joined an organization, that is, the church joined an organization, and we just can't go along with what they're teaching.
As it's been said, Any excuse will do, but that's going to be the main one for my Mom, anyway.
We're talking of "getting out of the box". Things are shaking up. I hope we can hold on. ; )
