Today in Sunday School class the three of my students who aren't my kids were talking about their favorite part of school...recess. And dodgeball. NOW I see why it's outlawed at some schools. And I quote...
"My favorite part of school is when it's over...oh, and recess."
"Yeah, when we play dodgeball."
"Ha,Ha, Remember last year when Hannah got hit in the head and cried?"
"Ha, Ha." "Ha,Ha." (That's two of them laughing...the third wasn't there last year)
(BTW, Hannah was 6 last year.)
(this is me, now) "Why on earth do you think it's funny to hit someone in the head and hurt them?"
"Oh, it gets anger out."
"Yeah, and it IS funny...it doesn't hurt Too much."
I plain out and out told them I thought their parent's could be doing a better job of raising them. I hope they take it home and repeat it.
However...My kids ...(brag alert...prepare yourselves!!!)
When we went back in the church for preaching, Kiera and Kady were there with Mom. Emma got a piece of paper and made a matching game to play with Kiera, and Anna took paper and colored pencils up to Kady and colored with her.
I'm so proud. :, )
(I wish I'd had a camera today...they were SO cute!)
