Oh, That Boy!

He was like the Energizer Bunny today. He didn't stop going all day. He's able to lift his leg some now, so he's able to use the crutches, and every time I turned my back he'd get up and take off. He almost fell this morning when he came in the kitchen. Emma was behind him and caught him, and he grabbed for a chair. I think, though, if she hadn't been there the chair by itself wouldn't have held him up. I finally threatened to hide them if he didn't rest some. It came a wonderful thunderstorm and he actually lay on the couch while it was raining and said he was going to nap, but he sang instead. He was supposed to disect an earthworm, but I couldn't find one. He was happy about that. ; )
The girls read some, then watched tv. He asked if Anna was going to do math today. I said, she's doing Science. He wanted to know how, and I told him watching Animal Planet counts as science for us. He said he'd rather do the workbook, because he hates animals! lol
I got a big kick out of this...in History he was learning (or not) about Columbus. One question was "______________ was a bookseller in Portugal." He put Eric the Red! (Never mind that he had learned NOTHING about Eric the Red today...apparrently, he didn't learn anything about Columbus, either, but I digress...) I asked if perhaps the vikings had plundered a village and got a lot of books so Eric the Red had to open a used book store to get rid of them. I'm thinking of starting a used book store and calling it "Viking Used Books".
