and I kept forgetting.
We went to a thrift store last week....I believe I blogged about the books I got, but, on another note, there was a woman there with two boys, 12 or so in age, and one of them dropped something and broke it. She said, "Take it up to the counter and tell them I'll pay for it if they want me to." No fussing, no threats, just I'll pay for it. That was SO refreshing. I have heard SO many times people fussing at small children for breaking things, even in thrift stores...where the thing probably would cost a quarter or so. It was just so nice to hear someone respond in a reasonable manner. ; )
