Oh, NO!!!

The cold I've been playing with for a week is turning into a sinus infection. :'''( Starting this early in the year is a bad sign, too. I DON'T LIKE IT!!! WAAHHHH!!! (lol)
I took the girls to the library for a homeschooler's program today. They've been working on getting one started for us for a couple years now (I think they think my kids need socialization lol) so I kind of felt like we *had* to go, but the girls like to go to their things, anyway, so we went, and they learned all about library skills. The main thing they did was learning about the new online children's catalog. They hadn't looked at it yet, so it was something new. She (the children's librarian) had scavenger hunts for them...look up this and that on the catalog, and apparrently they decided not to do them, because they brought them home with them. ; ) BUT, after they finished, she gave them candy and they looked up lots of things THEY were interested in and got lots and lots of books. Anna got Bigfoot and animal books, and Emma got every book they had about Laura Ingalls Wilder. She got everything, from the small "easy" books that've been taken from the Little House books, to biographies about Laura and Rose. Plus, she also got some videos...Shirley Temple and exercise videos. She's watching Shirley Temple's Little Princess right now, and Anna's drawing while she watches.
We managed to stay for three hours! When they had found their books and videos I found a couple interesting books about our town. The girls said they wanted to know more about our town and county, and I found a really nice book with lots of old photos, and one that told the history of our courthouse. It was built in 1829. I think that's SO cool. If we hadn't stayed so long and been so hungry when we finally left, we would have walked through town a little and looked for things from the book, but we were too hungery and tired, so we just drove through a little bit, then came on home. We'll make a point to drop by the courthouse sometime and look for signs that it's so old. (I'm fascinated with antiques. lol)
