Emma asked me last night about something...she's reading a Babysitter's Club book, and in this book the girls are taking care of an egg for a school project, seeing what it's like to have a baby. I told the girls when I was in school, we used a bag of flour. They want to do it now. I don't have $ for two bags of flour, so they have to wait until Monday, but Anna went ahead and used a bag of dried beans for hers...it fell out of the leg of her panties she tried to put on it. lol She starved it to death today...she worked on h'ween crafts all day and left it in it's bed. Then she put it back in the kitchen. But, anyway, Emma saw this in a book and wants to try it now. My thoughts...I'd rather borrow a *real* baby for a few days...if we knew someone who had one, but we don't, then, too, in the book she's reading, these girls in the book have been babysitting for years...10 or 15 at least, lol, so shouldn't they know about caring for babies without carrying around an egg? It seems an odd thing to me. Anyway.
The girls worked on h'ween crafts all day, then this evening they cleaned everything up and they're watching a movie now.
I went through their clothes and found their h'ween shirts, and got rid of lots and lots of clothes...stained, outgrown, or unwanted things. A trash bag full for each. Anna chose to get rid of a lot of her pretty little dresses. I've always loved dressing her up like a baby doll..apparently she is too old for little lacy pink dresses. ; )
I was fishing around in the kitchen today, and came across some h'ween candy left from last year! I've read about other RU families doing things like that, but never thought it could be us!
