NEVER, NEVER, AGAIN!

We went to our town's Christmas parade tonight. Never again will I do something that silly. It was simply DREADFUL!!!
First, the paper got the time wrong. It said (and has all week) 5:30. At 5:30 no one except us was there.
So we went grocery shopping. And I needed to use the...facilities... And they were....well, lets just say they had to call in a young man to do some MAJOR work on them.
So, I had to walk across the parking lot to Wendy's to go. Not too bad, except (excuse me, TMI) that I barely made it. Anyway...
So we finished our shopping, except that when we got back to the grocery store from Wendy's Daddy was upset that he had looked all over for me and couldn't find me (because I wasn't there) and he was ready to go, although he hadn't finished all his shopping (He got 8 bags of chips and nothing else!) and when we got to the van I asked if he had gotten his soups, and he hadn't, so he said after the parade we'd have to go back.
SO...we went to the parade. And we parked next to a service station so I'd be sure to have access to a restroom if I needed one. (Don't ask.) SO, since we were there, Emma needed to go. The parade was already started when we got there, but we did get to see a bit. There were people walking handing out candy and walked right past the girls and didn't give them any! We saw about 5 floats, 5 fire trucks, shriners and two bands. Then we saw a flood of people heading our way and figured that was the end of the parade, so we took off to get ahead of them.
Except that Anna lagged behind. So I went back to get her. And I offered to carry her. And she spilled her chocolate milk down my coat. All over me and her.
And I lost my temper.
But, gosh, I JUST had gotten that darn coat washed and ready to wear for winter. I've been wearing a black cape I bought on sale after H'ween. You can imagine. I've been called everything from witchy to miss vampire. Anyway, I FINALLY had a coat to wear, and now it's back in the laundry. SO, I'm back to the cape. Mom will die. She can't stand it, and I just told her today I had a coat to wear. She's going to blow a gasket when she sees me in the cape again.
Anyway. We didn't have all that much fun at a parade. I don't think we'll try it again.
However, now that it's over, I think I will get off line and snuggle with Anna while we watch (excuse the spelling) Ratoutt0ule
