I went out today...

...for my b-day. We went out to eat as a family, since we hadn't taken the girls with us Saturday, and the resturant we chose was having .99 kid's meals! We saved $7 on their meals! Yea! lol
We took the $$ we saved (and my b-day $$), and went thrift store shopping. Our favourite pastime! lol I got a really cool game...trivia something, I can't remember the name...and a bag FULL of books, and Daddy got a computer game ~ and the extension pack~, and Emma went to ask about the price of a doll, and a woman at the register talking to the cashier bought it for her. : ) Seems like I got something else...oh, doll clothes. The girls are big on baby dolls right now, and Anna found a diaper bag full of doll clothes, and a bag with a baby doll and accessories.
Daddy found one of my very all time favorite books...I think it's named The Old Man, or maybe The Very Old Man...something like that (It's SO late and I'm SO tired) but it's one of my favs from childhood and I was SO glad to get it.
This evening we went to mom's for supper, and after supper we went upstairs to go through some things and she fell on the way down the steps...with the baby! He bumped his head on the door frame but didn't break the skin, and she pulled her arm out of the joint. I had to drive her to the ER, because my dad had already taken his meds, but it popped back in by the time she got in the room. They put it in a sling for a few days. I'm SO glad they weren't worse hurt. She said, when we got over there, "I could have broken my neck." And I said, (Being the wonderful sweet daughter I am ; P ) "And that would have ruined Christmas...we don't know where you hid the presents." lol She got a big kick out of that.
When we got home, my most precious baby brother (who IS wonderful and sweet) shared a letter he got from a girl at school today...basically she told him he was a "real" Christian, and a great friend, and she's going to try to be more like he is. Isn't that sweet? I wish I could get a copy of it and post it. It was SO nice. He is, really, the nicest kid ever. I just pretend. lol
