The girls got piles of presents. I forgot to count before they broke into them, but by my reckoning~ after the fact~ was about 20 each. They're watching a DVD Daddy got for Christmas, while coloring and drawing with some of their new things.
We went to the after Christmas sales today, with our Christmas $. I refrained from buying a lot of decorations and things...I did buy a piece of the white fluffy stuff to put under the Nativity. I asked Daddy to pick me some up several times this year and he kept forgetting, so I just went ahead and got it.
Daddy found the next two seasons of the series he's currently "into", and bought one, then borrowed $ for the other. I hated to give it to him....it means he'll disappear into the tv for the next two weeks, no sleeping, no going places, barely talking, and fussing if the girls come by while he's watching. : ( But, he wanted it, and it was on sale.
Target was DREADFUL today! No prices on anything, just signs saying 50% off. 50% off WHAT? Daddy kept asking a little fellow in the next aisle with a scanner if he could check prices for us. Emma got a scrapbooking set she already got for her b-day, so she took it back, and got...are you ready for this?...$7 from it. (I saw Karen later, and told her, and since she's the one who bought it for Emma's b-day she remembered it cost$15 before) Apparrently, though, it was the only thing of it's kind on sale, because everything else still had the original prices. BIG bummer. She finally got a much smaller craft set.
I picked up a few stocking stuffers for next year. Plus bath sets for Mother's Day. I was going to get Daddy a set of body spray/deo for valetines day or our anniversary, but he saw it and said I was cheap. Since I'm so cheap, he might not get anything now.
Oh! And the DREADFULLEST (is that a word?) thing...last night...after all the going and doing and gifts and wrapping paper all over the house, and NOTHING cleaned, because, well, we hadn't been home to clean...Daddy's cousin and her son stopped by with dolls for the girls! I could have DIED! Instead I was nicely civil. I even helped Emma dig Max out from under her bed to show off his immense size.
On a positive note...after they left, the girls were inspired to clean the living room!
